Continue with the barbecue theme, it’s time to bring you some books about it. As we mention in our previews post (The 10 Most Common Myths) we have some favorites that we like to share with you. Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto is one of them. We can not express how much we love this book. Is definitely the BEST one we ever read. We know this is not a new one but it remains our go-to barbecue cookbook of all time. There are many great books available on the market, but this one has something special that makes us always come back to it.

This story starts a few years ago, in 2009, when Aaron Franklin and his wife, Stacy, opened up a small barbecue trailer on Austin, Texas. Fortunately for us, they had no idea what they’d gotten themselves into. Today, Franklin Barbecue has grown into the most popular, critically lauded, and obsessed-over barbecue joint in the country (if not the world).

Due to is huge success, Franklin Barbecue is probably one of the most difficult restaurants to eat. You don’t believe us! To get an idea, people start forming a line at 4 am, just to have the opportunity to eat some delicious barbecue. The numbers of this restaurant are out of this world, they smoke about 106 briskets per day, which consequently is enough food to satisfy 500 – 600 people daily.
