For this week equipment review, we are back with another coffee equipment. This time we bring you the Bodum French Press review, where we will tell you why this equipment is one of our favorite ones.
The french press has an extended history that dates back to the late 1800s. The short version is that one of the first, patented french press makers was called the “Chambord.” As its popularity grew, the Danish company, Bodum, became its distributor throughout Denmark and eventually bought out the rights. French and Italian have argued about the origins of the coffee brewer, but without success, the origin of this product is still unknown.
If you are not familiar with how to make coffee with a french press, don’t stress because it’s actually a lot easier than you can imagine. To make the perfect cup of coffee you will simply need to add ground coffee and hot water, to your french press, wait a few minutes and press the plunger and you’re ready to pour the coffee.
We could have brought another brand of french press, but the Bodum model is our favorite. The glass is extremely durable, being made of borosilicate, as the ability to resist high temperature, which makes it perfect for brewing coffee.
The finely finished, stainless steel frame and lid, give it an incredible shiny effect that doesn’t disappear with daily use. Bodum is a brand known for its high standards of quality build. There’s nothing better than having an impressive French Press maker that goes along with your equally impressive coffee skills.
If you already follow us you know that one of the most important features in every kitchen equipment is how easy it is to use on an everyday base. Saying that we need to tell you that the Bodum french press is incredible equipment for everyday use. At the top, you have the spiral plate which keeps the mesh tightly in place. This ensures the water passes but not the much-unwanted coffee grinds. For the sake of convenience and ultimate cleanliness, the 3 pieces stainless steel filter makes clean-up fast and simple.
To make things even better and related to our previous article, about environmental awareness, Bodum produces every french press with a focus on environmentally responsible manufacturing.
