Since its presentation in October, that many of you have been asking us about The Gozney Dome. Unfortunately, we still do not have the opportunity to test it, but we decided to share all the information we have about it.
Gozney is set to change the way we cook outdoors once again with the launch of the world’s most versatile outdoor oven. Nowadays, you can see professional chefs, YouTubers, or food enthusiasts using Gozney ovens, whether one of their elite restaurant ovens or their 2016 innovation - Gozney Roccbox - the world’s first 500 ºC (932 ºF) portable pizza oven. Two months ago, Gozney has taken its product range to the next level with the introduction of The Gozney Dome.
The Gozney Dome is a professional grade outdoor oven designed to make wood-fired cooking simple for everyone. Engineered for ease of use, the Dome promises to offer cooking versatility and performance like no other outdoor oven or BBQ on the market. Owners can roast, smoke, steam, or bake. Using wood or gas. Super fast or low and slow. With pioneering features and limitless possibilities, The Gozney Dome will turn any backyard into its owner's new favorite restaurant and is set to spark a movement in wood-fired cooking.
Cook restaurant quality Neapolitan Pizza at 510 ºC (950 ºF), close the Rope Sealed Door to turn the dome into a smoker or slow roast meat, then bake artisan sourdough bread using the Integrated Steam Injector. This is just the start. With an accessory port and a range of pioneering accessories, The Dome is designed to make it simple to master an array of different cooking styles.
With such vast cooking versatility, Gozney is describing The Dome as a new breed of ‘outdoor oven’, not a pizza oven. “The Dome is a wood-fired outdoor oven. It’s so much more than a pizza oven. There’s nothing like it available on the market today.” says Tom Gozney.
For what we know and what we had access to, The Gozney Dome is designed so anyone can go from basics to brilliance with wood-fired cooking. The extra-wide mouth makes maneuvering food easy, the oval shape and far-left gas burner location maximizes usable floor space, and a stone puck system allows users to switch between wood and gas with minimal fuss.
A fire basket and wood placement tool help to build and maintain a fire with ease, air intake technology allows the user to effortlessly control the heat output, and the integrated ash removal tray makes it hassle-free to sweep away old embers. Fancy a steak? Simply insert the thermocouple meat probes and find out when it’s done using the built-in digital thermometer. Every last detail has been thought of to ensure The Dome makes wood fired-cooking simple.
Accordingly, to the manufacture, The Gozney Dome will be offered with two fuel options; either wood only ($1799 - 1099€) or wood and gas ($2099 - 1269€), both built using commercial grade materials with a 5-year warranty. Weighing less than 58 kg (129.9 lb) and less than 630 mm (24.8") deep (660 mm (26")H x 630 mm (24.8")D x 732 mm (28.8")W), both models are designed to fit perfectly on a standard outdoor kitchen countertop or sit on the Gozney Dome Stand for a more flexible free-standing setup.
The Gozney Dome will be shipping from March 2021, with early bird purchase windows available only to those who have pre-registered their interest.
