A Delicious and Easy to do Pasta al Pesto Recipe

Three weeks ago, we taught you how to make Egg Pasta Dough. Today we introduce you to something to do with that dough, a delicious and easy-to-do Pasta al Pesto.

Pasta al Pesto is one of the most delicious and simple pasta recipes you can have! The secret to this dish is to loosen the noodle with hot pasta water. It makes all the difference.

320 g (0.71 lb) spaghetti, or other dry or fresh pasta (linguine, tagliatelle, fedelini)
(1 1/2 cups) pesto
Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Fresh Basil

  1. In a large pot, cook the spaghetti in abundant salted water. Cook al dente. Drain, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water.
  2. Return the pasta to the pot or place in a large warm bowl and toss with the pesto and salt.
  3. Mix about 1/2 cup of the reserved hot pasta water into the spaghetti. Taste and add more salt or water if needed.
  4. Plate and garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and a few leaves of basil.
