Donna Hay Everyday Fresh: Meals in Minutes

In this week's cookbook review we are back with the newest book from Australia's bestselling and most trusted cook. Donna Hay Everyday Fresh is a stunning new book featuring super-fresh, super-fast recipes to help you feel nourished and energised ... and ready to savour life.

There are days when it feels as though there's barely time to eat dinner, let alone prepare it. Donna knows on days like these, we all need a little Everyday Fresh in our lives.

We all want to create delicious meals packed with flavour and everything that's good for us, with a minimum of fuss. And that's exactly what Donna delivers. 'Simple made special' is the foundation of almost every recipe Donna has ever written. She's all about the classics, but also about a flexible, fresher approach to eating. She's constantly on the lookout for ways to make something easier, healthier, quicker or a little more on-trend - and she also loves a cheat, a quick-fix or anything that can be made in one bowl, that still tastes great.

Make Your Weekly Repertoire More Nutritious

Donna Hay is well known for creating meals that feel both accessible and appealing, no matter your culinary ability.  If you’ve ever fallen victim to a recipe that promises to be simple, healthy and delicious, only to discover that it requires a cupboard full of speciality ingredients and three hours in the kitchen, Hay’s ideas will restore your faith in cooking.

This is probably one of the reasons that we love Hay's book so much. We already had the opportunity to review other books from Donna, and they all share this 'Simple made special´ approach.

In this new book, Donna Hay Everyday Fresh, Hay's brings plenty more of that invigorating energy to the table. Taking everyday classics and elevating them with better-for-you ingredients, the book is filled with flavourful, heart-healthy recipes that can be created with very little hands-on time – and no hard-to-track-down ingredients. What’s more, they can all be turned into freezer-ready dishes, ready to be heated up at the end of a long day.

A Cool Dark Mood Design

Before we get into details about what we have been cooking with this book and all the details that make it special, we first need to tall about its design. As you can see in the video and in the imagens in this review, the book has a dark mood design, that makes each photograph a feast for the eyes.

If you are used to Hay's cookbooks you know that design is something that always stands out. Everyday Fresh Donna goes even further, choosing a dark mood design and poducing one of the most beautiful cookbooks we ever reviewed.

However, the design would be useless if the book wasn't full of delicious recipes. We already try some of them and they are as delicious as they look in the photographs. The book is very well organized, with 8 chapters that cover everything from one pan meals, almost instant dinners, freezer options, or even some sweets. This organizations is very useful, letting you easily choose the recipe depending in your mood or the time you want to spend cooking.

Everyday Fresh: Meals in Minutes is "just" another brilliant cookbook from Donna Hay, that it's packed with delicious recipes, mouth-watering photographs, and a cool dark mood design.
