In this week's recipe, we'll share our family meal Chili con Carne Recipe. This is one of our favorite recipes to cook because it's super easy to do and great for company.
We love this recipe so much that we have two versions of it! One served steamed white rice, and the other topped with Fritos and shredded cheese.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large white onion, finely chopped
1 large green bell pepper
900 g (2 pounds) ground beef, 80% lean
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 x 280 g (10 oz) cans diced tomatoes
2 merit chilis, or two of your favorite chilis
2 x 730 g (26 oz) cans Southwestern-style beans
