After been collecting, cooking, and Instagramming her favorite recipes, Chrissy Teigen decides to publish her first cookbook. Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat has recipes for all tastes. From breakfast all day to John’s famous fried chicken with spicy honey butter to her mom’s Thai classics.
Salty, spicy, saucy, and fun as sin, these dishes are for family, for date night at home, for party time, and for a few life-sucks moments. In this book, you’ll learn the importance of chili peppers, the secret to cheesy-cheeseless eggs, and life tips like how to use bacon as a home fragrance. The single best way to wake up in the morning, and how not to overthink men or Brussels sprouts.
Every time we see another celebrity cookbook we stay a little skeptical. We know that Chrissy likes to cook, however loving food doesn’t mean you can cook. But surprisingly this book is just the opposite of what we were waiting for. After reading the first pages the only thing we want is to jump directly to the kitchen and start cooking.
The organization of the book is nice, the recipes are very well-written and the recipes introductions are right in line with the tone of Chrissy. In other words an excellent and well-made cookbook.
The love that Chrissy have for food is very explicit in this book. And we think this love is the real reason for this success. Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat has a huge surprise for us. It is a book full of great, accessible and delicious recipes, but also great stories. And surprisingly well-taken photos, that will leave you hungry and wanting to cook.
Overall, we really really like this cookbook. At first, we thought it was just another celebrity cookbook, but after further analysis, it really exceeded our expectations. If you’re a huge fan of Chrissy Teigen you should definitely buy this book. But, surprisingly, you should also buy this book if you simply love good food.
For us, this book was a huge surprise! An excellent selection of amazing recipes that you will want to recreate again and again. Just for the positive surprise, this is already a book that deserves to be bought. As Anton Ego said, "Not everyone can become a great artist, But a great artist can come from anywhere".
